noun  (plural chocks)
Definition:
 
1. block to stop something moving: a block of wood or metal used to prevent a wheel from turning, an object from moving, or to support something when it is raised off the ground

2. ship's fitting for securing cables: a heavy metal fitting attached to the deck of a ship that has two inward-curving horn-shaped projections around which a cable can be secured

3. metal anchor for climbing: a metal device used to provide anchoring systems for climbing or caving
