Definition:
 
1. thin orange root vegetable: a thin tapering orange-colored root eaten raw or cooked as a vegetable

2. plant with edible orange-colored root: a biennial plant that produces carrots. Latin name Daucus carota.

4. incentive: something tempting, offered in order to persuade somebody to do something
