Definition:
 
1. transporter of people or goods: a person or company whose function or business is to transport things or people from one place to another
These airlines are among the world's most popular carriers.

2. transmitter of disease: a person or animal that is infected with a disease without displaying any of the symptoms and can pass it to others

3. symptomless transmitter of gene: an individual possessing a gene for a particular genetic trait or disorder without being affected by it, because two copies of the gene, one from each parent, are usually necessary for the characteristic to show itself

4. part of machine conveying motion: a part of a machine that carries and moves something or transmits motion to another part
