Definition:
 
1. small confections: small sweet food items usually eaten for pleasure and not as part of a meal, e.g. chocolate bars, mints, and toffee
Our store sells the finest chocolate candy in the country.

2. piece of confectionery: a small hard, chewy, or soft piece of food made from sugar and other ingredients or flavorings such as chocolate, nuts, fruit, or peppermint

3. hard drugs: heroin, cocaine, or another hard drug ( slang )

1. transitive verb coat with sugar syrup: to coat food with sugar or sugar syrup, or be coated with sugar or sugar syrup
