Spelling Note

cache or cash? Do not confuse the spelling of cache and cash, which sound similar. Cache can be used as a noun or verb, referring to a secret hidden supply or to an area of computer memory, as in an arms cache, cached data. The word cash, which is much more frequent in general usage, can also be used as a noun or verb. As a noun it denotes money in the form of coins and bills (as in paid in cash); as a verb it means "exchange for cash" (as in cash a check).
