bul·let [ bllət ] (plural bul·lets)

Definition:
 
1. ammunition used in firearm: a projectile fired from a handgun, rifle, or other small firearm, usually pointed and cylindrical and made of metal

2. dot: a large printed dot used to highlight items in a printed list

3. fast ball: a ball thrown or pitched with exceptional force, as in baseball or football

4. final repayment of loan: a final loan payment, representing the initial sum borrowed excluding interest, which was paid during the term of the loan

bite the bullet to deal with a situation that is unpleasant but unavoidable (informal)
