bulb [ bulb ] (plural bulbs)

Definition:
 
1. underground plant part: an underground plant storage organ, e.g. a corm, tuber, or rhizome, from which a new plant grows every year

2. plant growing from bulb: a plant that develops from a bulb or other underground storage organ, e.g. a tulip or crocus

3. electricity 
Same as  light bulb


4. rounded part: a rounded part of something, e.g. the mercury reservoir of a thermometer or the squeezable rubber ball on a dropper

5. anatomy rounded part of body organ: a rounded or enlarged section of a cylindrical body part
