1. movies tv extendable overhead pole: an extendable pole carrying overhead equipment such as a camera for positioning over a television or movie set

2. sailing beam holding sail at angle: a beam to which the bottom edge of a sail is attached in order to hold the sail at an advantageous angle to the wind

3. military industry floating barrier: a floating barrier used to confine or restrict something, e.g. a barrier to protect a harbor from attack or to confine an oil spill

4. freight pole used to move cargo: a long pole extending from the mast of a derrick to lift or lower cargo
