Definition:
 
1. protective garment tied over clothes: a garment worn over the front of clothes to keep them clean during working, especially cooking

2. aviation paved area at airport: the paved area immediately in front of airport buildings, on which aircraft are loaded and unloaded

3. projecting edge: the projecting edge of a platform such as a theater stage, dock, or loading bay

4. protective part: a shield or plate attached to a machine that protects the user from flying debris

5. golf border around green: in golf, the outer edge of a putting green

6. boxing area outside boxing ring: in boxing, the part of the floor of a boxing ring that is outside the ropes

7. geography low-angled surface: a gently sloping surface of sand, gravel, or bare rock, usually in front of a mountain range
