transitive verb

Definition:

1. valuate something: to make or give an estimate of how much money something is worth

2. assess merits or quality: to form or give an opinion of somebody's merits or something's quality

3. human resources assess somebody formally: to make a formal assessment of an employee or an employee's performance following an agreed set of criteria
