Definition:
 
1. small outgrowth from large intestine: a blind-ended tube leading from the large intestine cecum, near its junction with the small intestine. In humans it is small, occurs in the lower right-hand part of the abdomen, and contains cells of the immune system.

2. additional information: a collection of separate material at the end of a book or document

3. projecting part: a part that projects from something larger
