Definition:
 
1. pronounce somebody blameless: to state publicly or officially that somebody is not guilty and not to be held responsible

2. relieve somebody of obligation: to release somebody from an obligation or requirement

3. forgive somebody: to forgive somebody's sins, especially formally in a Christian church service or sacrament
