1. accepting different views: accepting the differing views of other people, e.g. in religious or political matters, and treating the people who hold these different views fairly

2. withstanding harsh treatment: able to put up with harsh conditions or treatment

3. medicine not affected by drug: no longer responding to a drug that has been taken over a prolonged period, or suffering no ill effects from exposure to a harmful substance
