Definition:
 
1. label: a small piece of cloth, paper, plastic, or other material attached to something as a label or means of identification

2. tip at end of shoelace: a plastic or metal tip attached to the end of a shoelace or cord to prevent it from fraying

3. small loose or ragged piece: a small piece of a material hanging loosely or raggedly from the main piece

4. comput classifying label for data: a label that describes a piece of data, e.g. to facilitate later retrieval or text formatting

5. crime electronic device worn by offender: an electronic device worn, usually on the ankle or wrist, by a convicted offender serving a sentence in the community to allow his or her movements to be monitored

6. zoology tip of animal's tail: the tip of an animal's tail, especially if in a contrasting color with the rest of the tail

7. agriculture zoology matted lock of wool: a dirty matted lock of wool or hair in an animal's fleece or coat
