Definition:
 
1. thing given in return: something desirable given in return for what somebody has done

2. money offered in return: money offered for information about the whereabouts of a criminal or the return of something lost or stolen

3. benefit received: a benefit obtained as a result of an action taken or a job done

4. psychology something reinforcing desired behavior: something positive that follows a desired response and acts to encourage desired behavior
