Definition:

1. education college teacher of highest academic rank: a teacher of the highest academic rank in a college or university

2. university teacher: a teacher in a university or college

3. senior nonacademic teacher: a senior teacher of a nonacademic discipline in an institution other than a university, e.g. a music or drama school

4. somebody professing belief: somebody who professes a religious or other belief ( formal )
