posture

noun  (plural pos·tures)
Definition:
 
1. physical carriage: the way in which somebody holds his or her body, especially when standing

2. body position: a position that the body can assume, e.g. standing, sitting, kneeling, or lying down

3. attitude: a frame of mind or attitude
a conciliatory posture

4. pose conveying attitude: a physical pose that conveys a mental or emotional attitude
a posture of defiance

5. deceptive stance: a position, attitude, or stance that is intended to deceive

6. cultivated position: a practiced or cultivated arrangement of the body, e.g. a position used in yoga

7. arrangement of parts: the way that components of an object or situation are arranged in relation to one another
