Definition:
 
1. somebody operating something: somebody who operates machinery, an instrument, or other equipment

2. business owner or manager: an owner or manager of a business or other commercial enterprise

3. stock-exchange dealer: a dealer on the stock exchange or in a money market, especially somebody who is aggressive or speculative

4. manipulative person: somebody who behaves in a devious or manipulative way, especially in order to gain something ( informal )
a smooth operator

5. mathematics comput something effecting mathematical operation: a mathematical symbol, term, or other entity that performs or describes an operation, e.g. a multiplication or subtraction sign

6. soldier: a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces
