Definition:
 
1. transitive verb mix things together in disorder: to mix things together in a confused or disordered way
The disks have been carefully filed, so don't muddle them.

2. transitive verb confuse things: to confuse things in the mind ( often passive )
They look so much alike that it's easy to muddle them up.

3. transitive and intransitive verb confuse or be confused: to be confused or bemused, or cause somebody to be so
Tell me again slowly - you're muddling me.

4. transitive verb make water muddy: to make water muddy and unclear by stirring it

5. transitive verb stir alcoholic beverage gently: to mix or stir an alcoholic drink
