Definition:
 
1. scattered trash: pieces of trash that have been carelessly left on the ground, especially in a public place or outdoors

2. messy state or place: a large number of objects that have been scattered around untidily, or a place that is in a messy state
working away amid the litter of her study

3. animal offspring: a group of young animals born at the same time from the same mother

4. bedding for animals: material, e.g. hay or straw, that is used as bedding for animals

5. material for pet's toilet box: a dry absorbent substance, often in the form of granules, that is spread in a shallow container where a pet, especially a cat, can urinate or defecate when indoors
