Definition:
 
1. middle joint of human leg: the joint of the human leg between the thigh and the lower leg, where the femur and the tibia meet, covered in front by the kneecap patella

2. area around knee joint: the general area surrounding the knee joint

3. upper leg: the upper surface of the thigh of somebody sitting down
Come and sit on my knee.

4. part of clothing: the part of a piece of clothing, especially pants, that fits around the knee

5. leg joint in animals: the joint between the upper and lower parts of the hind legs in four-legged vertebrates and of the legs in birds

6. growth from root: a woody outgrowth from the roots of some trees that grow in saturated soils or standing water, which protrudes above the surface and enables them to breathe
