1. refusing to accept differences: showing an unwillingness or refusal to accept people who are different from you, or views, beliefs, or lifestyles that differ from your own
an intolerant society

2. easily annoyed: easily angered or annoyed
He is rather intolerant of vague ideas and vague people.

3. allergic to something: unable to eat or drink a particular food, ingredient, or substance, or to take a particular drug without having an allergic reaction or getting sick

4. unfitted to something: unable to thrive or survive in a particular environment
