Word Usage
inside, inside of, or within?

Though the idiomatic expressions inside and inside of in the sense "within a given amount of time" are used in informal writing and conversation (We'll be finished inside of a month), the usage may be regarded as inappropriate to formal writing. Therefore, the safest choice is within, as in We'll be finished within a month.
