Definition:
 
1. persuade somebody to do something: to persuade or influence somebody to do or think something

2. produce mental or physical state: to bring about a thought, feeling, or physical condition

3. hasten birth of baby: to make the process of labor or the birth of a baby start by a medical intervention, usually by administering a drug, before it happens naturally

4. reason from observation: to make a statement based on the observation of facts

5. produce something by induction: to produce an electric current or a magnetic field by induction
