Definition:
 
1. excessive bleeding: the loss of blood from a ruptured blood vessel, either internally or externally
a cerebral hemorrhage

2. uncontrolled loss: a large uncontrolled loss of something valuable
a hemorrhage of cash that threatened the firm

1. intransitive verb bleed heavily: to bleed profusely and uncontrollably
