Definition:
 
1. type of door: a door cut into the floor or ceiling of something, especially on a boat or an aircraft. It is lifted to provide access to the area below or above it. A hatch may also provide access to an attic or cellar in a building.

2. small hole between two rooms: a small connecting hole in a wall between two rooms, or the small doors that cover this hole
