Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb predict something: to form an opinion about something without enough evidence to make a definite judgment
She guessed the number before he turned the card over.
Guess where I've been.
I could tell you what I think, but I'd only be guessing.

2. transitive verb conclude something correctly: to arrive at a correct answer to or conjecture about something
I guessed it would be you.

3. transitive verb suppose something: to think or suppose something
I guess I'll have the steak.

4. intransitive verb find correct answer: to be correct in your thinking about what might be the case
You'll never guess.
