	further or farther? Strictly speaking farther is the preferred spelling when referring to physical distance, as in Have we much farther to go? Now further is commonly used in this context, although its use is traditionally reserved for figurative contexts, as in I have nothing further to add, or It took a further two phone calls before I got through. Furthest and farthest behave similarly.
