Definition:
 
1. remove written material: to remove written, typed, or printed material by rubbing it out, or obliterate it with something such as correction fluid

2. eliminate something: to remove or destroy something completely
an ancient civilization, all traces of which had been erased over time

3. comput delete recorded data: to delete data or recorded material from a computer's memory, a magnetic tape, or other storage medium
