1. dislocating or being dislocated: the displacement of something from its usual or proper position

2. medicine displacement of body part: the displacement of a body part, especially of a bone from its usual fitting in a joint

3. chemistry imperfection in crystal: an irregularity in the fine structure lattice of an otherwise normal crystal
