Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb physically disconnect or become disconnected: to disconnect one thing from another, or become disconnected from something

2. transitive verb mentally detach yourself or another: to withdraw or mentally separate yourself or somebody else from a situation or difficulty

3. transitive and intransitive verb military stop fighting in war: to bring troops out of a war or combat, or withdraw from a war or combat

4. transitive and intransitive verb fencing move sword from opponent's: to move the point of your sword around an opponent's sword in order to open a new line of attack
