Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb travel by sea: to travel by ship over a sea or other large body of water, usually calling at several places

2. intransitive verb travel at easy rate: to travel at a steady efficient rate, below top speed

3. intransitive verb proceed casually: to proceed in a leisurely casual way or with no particular destination
We've just been cruising around in the car.

4. intransitive verb travel while looking for something: to travel at a slow steady rate while searching or watching for something
The police cruised the streets looking for the suspect.

5. intransitive verb achieve objective in sport: to progress or achieve a goal with very little effort, especially in sport
cruised to the semifinals

6. transitive and intransitive verb seek sexual partner: to go out looking for a sexual partner, or frequent a public place in search of one ( slang )
