1. delivery: a quantity or package of goods delivered or to be delivered

2. disposal of somebody or something: the disposal of somebody or something, usually for a long time, if not permanently

3. entrusting of somebody or something: the handing over of somebody or something to the care of another


on consignment on the understanding that payment will be made only when the goods have been sold and that any remaining unsold articles can be returned
