1. container for serving drinks: a container with a wide cylindrical base, a narrow neck, and a flared open top, usually made of glass and used to serve liquids, especially wine or water at the table

2. container for coffee: a glass pot with a lip for pouring and a handle, used especially with a drip coffeemaker to brew and serve coffee

3. quantity in carafe: the contents or capacity of a carafe
