1. second part of Greek choral ode: in a classical Greek drama, the second section of an ode sung by the chorus after the first section strophe

2. return movement in ancient Greek drama: in a classical Greek drama, the second of two movements made by the chorus, back in the opposite direction to that of the first movement strophe

3. poetry second metrical form in poem: the second type of metrical form in a poem that alternates two contrasting metrical forms.
