Definition:
 
1. word rearranged to form another: a word or phrase that contains all the letters of another word or phrase in a different order. "Astronomers" is an anagram of "no more stars."

2. word game: a word game that involves the forming of anagrams

[Late 16th century. Directly or via French anagramme< modern Latin anagramma, probably < Greek anagrammatismos "transposition of letters" < anagrammatizein (see anagrammatize)]
