1. intransitive verb be in accord: to have the same opinion about something as somebody else
Scientists don't agree about what causes these reactions.

2. intransitive verb consent: to consent to or approve a course of action
They agreed on a postponement.

I had to agree that the room looked better with a coat of paint.
