1. increase: an increase in size as a result of accumulation or the growing together of separate things

2. something accumulated: something formed by or resulting from accretion

3. finance addition: something added to something such as a fund of money from an external source

4. astronomy attraction of matter by gravity: a process in which matter revolving around an astronomical object is gradually pulled in and added to the body's mass

5. geology increase in landmass: a process by which a body of rock or a landmass increases in size as a result of material accumulating on or around it

6. geology increase in size of continents: a process by which the size of a continent increases as a result of the moving together and deforming of tectonic plates
