He captured the Balearic Islands (1229-1235) and Valencia (1238) from the Moors. -(1394-1437), king of Scotland (1406-1437), only surviving son of King Robert III. He was assassinated in 1437 by a group of nobles. -(1566-1625), king of England (1603-1625) and, as James VI, king of Scotland (1567-1625). James was the only son of Mary, Queen of Scots, and her second husband, Lord Darnley. |
