Chapultepec (Chapoltepēc "at the grasshopper hill" in the Nahuatl language; c.f. Mexican Spanish chapulin (grasshopper)) is a large hill on the outskirts of central Mexico City.
The Battle of Chapultepec (September 1847) was a U.S. victory over Mexican forces holding Chapultepec Castle west of Mexico City during the Mexican-American War.
