Battle of Concord:
The Battle of Concord took place during the American Revolution on April 19, 1775. It was the first serious engagement of the revolution, which followed Paul Revere's famous ride warning of a British attack. The battle was fought at Concord, Massachusetts. American minutemen prevented British troops from crossing the bridge over the Concord River to seize the colonists' ammunition and military stores. The British retreated to Boston, harassed by fire from colonial militia.
